We are here at the English Household, where we’ve secretly replaced the fine OS they usually use with Ubuntu. Let’s see if anyone can tell the difference!
This project is my attempt at giving "linux as a desktop" a second chance and documenting the process of implementation and responses thereof for a period of time.
Usage Requirements
- Internet browser for web mail, surfing, social sites, etc.
- Photo Management
- Scanning and printing (hp 1210 All-in-one) photos and documents.
- Transfer data between digital cameras and flash-based mp3 player via usb.
Yahoo Messenger- Word processing and spreadsheet work
- Basic graphic editing
- Easy enough for a 5 year old
- Minimal learning curve to switch
