Al Bundy Box
Al (as in not quite HAL…) and Bundy ( as in Al Bundy who likes to watch TV ).
AL Bundy Box is a personal PVR/Media Center project I’m working on using freevo mythtv MediaPortal GB-PVR and misterhouse to make a HAL for my house.
My wishlist
- Watch DVDs/VCD’s/etc
- Watch DIVx, AVI videos from my network
- Surf the internet video sites, youTube, google/video, etc
- Listen to music from the network, internet
- See photos stored on the network or flickr, as slideshows
- Get news from the internet via RSS
- Play SNES,NES,PS,PS2,N64 using emulators
- Record TV and skip commercials (TiVo)
- Control house lighting via X10
- Regulate the thermostat
- Pipe the weather station and read from a personal weather station
- Maybe some outside motion detectors which email me pictures when they’re triggered.
