About

I’m a 30 year old husband, father of two and permanent student technology. I live in the economically thriving state of Michigan. I’m a strong open source advocate and believe software commoditization in the form of restrictive licenses limit both the users and developers of software. I believe software is a form of free speech and knowledge and should be treated as such. My passion is Web Development ( photography, graphic design, layout, planning, programming, database, etc ).

I’ve been involved in technology for over 12 years and in the industry for 9. I have a degree in Information Systems and loads of experience from my various tech adventures.

I started working at a dot com in 1999 as a content writer, concentrating on internet technology and graphic design tutorials. I also contributed to a pay-per-click project which empowered customers to manage their marketing campaigns. After that, I went on to do web development and software development at a small web development shop and shortly thereafter tried my hand at entrepreneurship doing on-site computer repair.

Currently I’m the the Web and App Developer for E.L. Hollingsworth.
