I’m a 32 year old single father of two and IT hobbyist /professional. I live near Flint, Michigan. I’m a strong open source advocate and believe software commoditization in the form of restrictive licenses limit both the users and developers of software. Software is a form of free speech and knowledge and should be treated as such. My passion is web development, photography, graphic design, layout, planning, programming, database, etc .
I’ve been involved in technology for over 12 years and in the industry for 9. I would like to become an independent software author free to pursue my creative interests. Preferably high up in an adult-sized tree house somewhere.
I started working at a dot com in 1999 as a content writer, concentrating on internet technology and graphic design tutorials. After that, I went on to do web development and software development at a small web development shop and shortly thereafter tried my hand at entrepreneurship doing on-site computer repair.
Currently I’m a software / network engineer and at E.L. Hollingsworth.
